Don’t lose your Dental Benefits,
How many times have you said to yourself, “I am just too busy to get to the dentist before the end of the year”? Most people do not realize this not only negatively effects your oral health but can also cost you thousands of dollars in un-used insurance coverage.
According to the National Association of Dental Plans, when it comes to dental benefit plans, millions of people each year are ringing in the New Year leaving money on the table. They estimate that only 2.8% of people reached or exceeded their plan's annual maximum. That means that 97.2% are not utilizing all their benefits.
At Robert Marc Dental, we have heard multiple times from our patients who have not used their insurance benefits all year, and then come in December to use their coverage, only to find out their benefits are lost. Whether you are paying for dental care through a benefits plan or using an FSA, your current plans will most likely run out on December 31. In fact, many insurance plans pay for services on completion and therefore if your treatment is not completed by December 31, then it will use the following years benefits.
As a result, at Robert Marc Dental, Dr. Schulman recommends you schedule appointments in November to utilize all your benefits.
